One Small Step..
...for Ceramics, One Giant Leap for Me!
So, finally after nearly ten years the Wild Clay Ceramics website is live. A journey of many challenges, not least learning to be tech-savvy as well as clay-savvy! As with ceramics I hope that my dedication and perseverance has paid off.
The Art of Mindful Ceramics
Creating ceramics is a slow and deliberate process that requires patience and precision. Every piece is crafted with hours of love and attention to detail, resulting in a unique and special creation. In a world increasingly demanding instant gratification, working with clay offers something beautiful and a completely different experience. A return to traditional time-honoured values and working practices is my antidote to the modern world; I call it mindful ceramics.

The Pursuit of Perfection - a blessing not a curse!
Clay is wildly unpredictable at every stage of the process and some may say there is no such thing as perfectionism in ceramics. I disagree. My desire for perfection is not an impediment, it is the driving force behind my work, pushing me to constantly strive for excellence and refinement. It's this commitment to quality that I hope sets my creations apart. For every ceramic piece that makes it to the shop, there are five others that didn't quite meet my high standards!
A Touch of Whimsy
Keep an eye out for the charming ceramic pugs that occasionally make an appearance in the shop. Inspired by my own beloved pugs, Daisy and Dennis, these creations add a playful and endearing touch to my collection. Just like their real-life counterparts, these pugs are full of personality and charm. Look out for Old Mother Pugger, the Sugar Pug Fairy, Pudding Pug and friends coming soon!

From the slow and methodical process of creating ceramics to the playful infusion of pugs into my work, this Cornish girl's journey is a testament to dedication, passion and creativity. Each piece I create is a labour of love, reflecting my unique style and personality.
I hope you enjoy browsing my website and discovering the beauty of mindful ceramics, hand-made here in my workshop in the historical port of Charlestown. My home was also the childhood sanctuary that inspired creativity for a young Noel Coward, nestled between the sea and magical woodland, harnessing the natural beauty of Cornwall.
